This photo of this Victorian woman is from mid 1890s
Photographer used a scroll design in front of her, to make look like coming out of sheet of paper or ribbon. This was popular photo illusion at that time.
I am always impressed with the backs of these cabinet cards. This one is so ornate could display the back side.
